WHAT'S DTF TRANSFER?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing transfers are a type of heat transfer that uses a digital printer to print a design onto a specialised film that can then be transferred onto a garment or other fabric using a heat press. DTF printing transfers are similar to other heat transfer methods like screen printing and sublimation, but they offer some unique advantages, such as the ability to print opaque white ink on dark fabrics without the need for a separate white underbase layer. To create a DTF transfer, a digital design is printed in reverse onto the DTF film using a DTF printer, which uses a specialised ink that adheres to the film. The film is then placed on the garment or other fabric with the printed side facing down, and a heat press is used to transfer the ink onto the fabric. The heat and pressure from the press cause the ink to bond with the fabric, creating a durable and long-lasting design.

**PRESS INSTRUCTIONS
1. Press the transfer at 150 degrees for 10 seconds, then let the transfer cool completely before peeling.

2. Lay the cloth on the working plate

BENEFITS:

  • High-Quality Prints: DTF printing allows for high-quality, full-colour prints with sharp details and vibrant colours. DTF printers use specialised ink that bonds directly to the fabric, resulting in prints that are highly durable and long-lasting.

  • No Need for Separate White Ink: DTF printing can print white ink directly onto dark fabrics, eliminating the need for a separate white underbase layer that is required for other printing methods like screen printing and DTG printing. This can save time, reduce costs, and simplify the printing process.

  • Wide Range of Compatible Fabrics: DTF printing can be used on a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, nylon, and blends. This versatility makes it ideal for printing on various types of garments and other fabric items.

  • Fast Turnaround Time: DTF printing allows for quick and easy production of custom apparel and other fabric items. Once the design is printed onto the DTF film, the transfer process can be completed in just a few minutes with a heat press.

  • Cost-Effective: DTF printing can be more cost-effective than other printing methods, especially for small to medium-sized production runs. Because DTF printing does not require separate white ink or expensive equipment like screen printing, it can be a more affordable option for custom apparel and other fabric printing applications.
